Fire and gas safety are key issues for Small Heath Park Housing Co-operative.

Fire safety

We urge all members to:

• regularly check that smoke alarms are operating as they should;
• think carefully about what they would do in the event of a fire;
• know their escape routes and ensure they are not blocked; and
• consider how they can help prevent fires.

Gas safety

Small Heath Park Housing Co-operative is required to have its gas appliances inspected and maintained regularly, and to carry out gas safety checks when a new tenant moves in.

Members must give access to gas safety engineers when notified.
